New Thinking, New Design

The exciting new residential townhouse project coming to Eagle, Colorado in 2008 is the Wilson Lofts. The complex consists of twenty-four units in a tightly clustered four-plex building arrangement.

The Design Concept

The Wilson Lofts are specifically designed and targeted to young local professionals seeking an alternative home ownership opportunity. Each unit has approximately 1,000 square feet of living area in a two-story layout that includes an oversized single car garage.

The interior of the units will be designed as a two-bedroom open floor plan, loft style. Each home will include:

  • high ceilings
  • hand hewed timbers
  • exposed mechanical systems
  • large view windows
  • rooftop living space
  • photovoltaic solar system

This design style is specifically targeted to the growing number of locals desiring home ownership in an alternative format to the typical small boxy entry-level condominium apartments. The architecture will integrate a mining/western theme using industrial style materials.  A flat roof will allow for the creation of exterior rooftop living space for each unit.

Materials, Energy-Saving Systems

All aspects of design, material selection and construction will be analyzed for energy efficiency, resource conservation and recycling/re-use opportunities.  Every home within the Wilson Lofts will have an integrated photovoltaic solar system. This system will connect to the electric grid and will be used to directly offset utility costs.

Affordable to Buy and to Own

The Wilson Lofts will not only be an affordable place to buy but also an affordable place to live. Generating renewable power reflects the owner’s personal ethics and allows them to make a public expression of these ethics. Sustainable living and green buildings do make a difference to consumers and this site is an optimal solar location to help you make that difference.
